The diode wafer/chip include 2 types:OJ and GPP.The comparison of OJ and GPP as follows:

The OJ means Open Junction and the GPP means Glass Passivated Process Parts/Glass Passivated Junction.

The Open Junction means silicone protection technology, which is painted white glue to cure and then the temperature around 200 degrees in the diode chip PN junction after pickling.Protection P-N junction to obtain the voltage.

The Glass Passivated Junction means glass passivation process technology,glassivation passivation parts of an apparats,which the glass passivation technology structure of the product, the chip of the PN junction is under the protection of passivation glass, glass to glass powder sintering melt around 800 degrees, the glass layer is formed after cooling. This glass layer and the silicon melt into one, can not use mechanical methods to separate.
